Sourcream Apple Pie with Oatmeal Cookie Crust

 Preheat Oven to 375.

Crust:

1 1/2 c. raw rolled oats

1/4 c. sesame seeds

1/2 c. whole wheat flour

1/2 tsp. salt

1/2 tsp. cinnamon

1/4 cup finely minced nuts

1/2 c. sweet butter & 3 Tbs. honey (melt together)

Combine all ingredients, and mix well. Press firmly into bottom and sides of a 9 or 10 inch pie pan

Filling:

7 c .sliced tart cooking apples

juice and rind of 1 aver. size lemon

1/2 c. maple syrup (or honey)

2 Tbs. unbleached white flour

1/2 tsp. cinnamon

1/4 tsp. nutmeg

1 large egg

1/2 cup sour cream

1) Combine apple , lemon juice and rind, drizzle in honey, toss until uniformly coated.

2) Sift in flour and spices, toss again to coat, put into unbaked pie shell neatly.

3) Beat together egg and sourcream, drizzle slowly over apples

4) Bake 35-40 minutes. Serve hot or cold
