Winter’s slow pace and heavy diet may cause our bodies to be congested.  This can manifest in Spring as anger, indecision, and constipation: sour foods and green vegetables can help cleanse the Liver.

For several days fast or eat lightly (broths and greens) and take a mixture daily of 2 Tbls extra virgin olive oil and the juice of half a lemon first thing in the morning.  After 3-6 days the whole body feels renewed.  This is also a good remedy for depression.  (Do not take for more than 1 week, and check with your doctor to make sure that fasting is appropriate for you).
