FallMulticolor

Driving this weekend, I couldn’t take my eyes off the fall trees along the side of the road. The leaves remind me of fireworks, their colors bursting forth. I imagine the “oohs” and “aahs” at the sight of the yellow maple lighting up the sky. Orange leaves tinged with red, shimmering in the sun, like zipping fireworks falling from above.

Along the horizon- the grand finale -flashes of red, yellow and orange popping out; vibrant backdrops for one another. It is as if the trees are willing my eyes off the road saying, “Look, look! How dare you not be present to this beauty!

When something calls us to pay attention, we feel wholly connected in its presence.

Using nature and the fall trees as our inspiration, this week we will grow into our poses, deepening our presence and awareness. We will connect with the earth and explore our inner nature. Get ready to root down to grow and lengthen, finding more freedom, strength and opening in our poses.

See you on the mat!

Namaste,

Kim Metz
