Simplicity

Simplicity boils down to two steps:
Identify the essential. Eliminate the rest. ~Leo Babauta

Edit (edit something out) Remove unnecessary or inappropriate words, sounds, or scenes from a text, movie, or radio or television program. (Oxford Dictionary Definition)

Yoga practice is like a narrative with a beginning, middle and end.  When we bring our attention to the space between the beginning and the end we have the opportunity to edit and craft our poses, bringing more clarity, benefit and purpose to our practice.

This week we focus on the energetic line between the tailbone and the crown of the head. Let the sensation of anchoring the pelvis and the opposite action of extending through the upper palate guide you in crafting your poses, breath and movement.

Release any extra movement, tension, or thoughts in order to bring more clarity to the lengthening of the spine.

Come explore what is not necessary in your practice and your day.  How can you release and let go- finding your most clear self reflected back to you.

See you on the mat!

Namaste,

FYI- I love this app. Overall good instruction and visuals. It makes a nice complement to reviewing poses we practice in class.
